1. B-boy Physicx
Physicx (Real name: HyoKeun Kim, Hangul: 김효근, born on 23 August 1984 in South Korea) is a South Korean Bboy, who has countless titles that put his name as one of the best bboys in the world. He is currently a member of one of the best Korean crews called Rivers Crew and was formerly a member of the Korean all-star crew, Project Soul.
Career
HistoryPhysicx's journey in becoming one of the best bboys in the world all started out during his middle school, when he was inspired and moved after watching other bboys. This started his deep passion into bboying in 1998. Extreme, his passion may have been, but his parents opposed it, as it was believed that breaking was a practice for delinquents. But that never stopped him. His intense passion led him to continue pursuing his dream of becoming a professional bboy.
After graduating from school he moved to Seoul, Korea, where he began his professional bboy career. Joining Rivers Crew, he was able to earn a great deal of respect from the Korean bboy community.
The name soon Physicx swept around the world after the UK B-Boy Championship, where he displayed his unimaginable and unique skills to the world for the first time and took the title as winner of the solo tournament. The world found out and discovered the hidden talent behind Physicx.
His moves were beyond unimaginable, as some of his moves had never before been seen in bboying history, such as his signature move, the "waistbreaker," or the "hollowback swing". The world was astounded to see moves such 16 rotations of an elbow spin with only one push and spinning flags, among his other clean moves.
Ever since, many new generations of bboys and bgirls have begun to idolize him, and many other professional bboys have shown him much respect.
CompetitionsPhysicx has been a champion of many international-level tournaments both as a member of a crew and as an individual. His most notable crew achievements include a R-16 Korea and Bboy Unit Korea title with Rivers in 2007, and UK B-Boy Championship titles with Project Soul in 2002, 2004 and 2005. As an individual, he won the solo title at UK B-Boy Championship in 2004. He was also selected for the 2005 Red Bull BC One individual tournament involving 1 on 1 battles between the top 16 bboys in the world.
JudgingPhysicx has also been selected as a judge for several breakdance competition in Korea, including B-Boy Showdown.
Dancing Style
Elbow spin:
An elbow variant of 1990. Physicx is known for having exceptionally long elbow spins, and few powermovers in the world (KYS/The End) have achieved similar duration.
Spinning flag/'60s:
A flag freeze that spins like a 1990, but with hand twists independent of body movement allowing for slow but dynamic rotation.
Flag 2000/River's 2000:
A 2000 spin with the legs piked horizontally parallel to the ground. Physicx usually does one-to-two rotations average considering this is one of the hardest 2000's ever created.
Knee spin to airflares
Air Walk/Kicks:
Throwing himself into a handstand, Physicx continuously transitions from handstand to forearm to shoulder to side freeze and back again. He does it in a random order while kicking his legs in all directions; this makes for an impressive display of strength and balance.
Airflare 1.5/Air windmills into Darkhammers:
Physicx drops into a windmill, but pushes himself up into airflare form and drops while spinning into another windmill and then transitions into darkhammers.
Waistbreakers:
From an unstabbed frog freeze, he shifts either one or both of his legs straight and beside each other to an L-back, then to a full hollowback and to the L back in the opposite direction of the first. While he is doing the 2 legged variant, he shakes his body while shifting. The 2 legged variant is always done after his transition with kicks (see above).
Unkeyed handhops into Hollowback swing:
Starting by holding one leg and hopping on one hand, and later dropping down to a hollowback swing for an impressive yet quick move.
Gainer into Icy-ice:
Gainer, landed, then immediate dive into a shoulder or head slide. The slide is usually half spun with an ending freeze if it is his older head glide variation.
Hanging Airbaby:
Physicx goes into airbaby freeze and then abruptly uses his bent leg to lift his straight leg up into the air. This freeze still has the airbaby freeze form, but without the bent leg's knee on the supporting arm's elbow. Sometimes referred to as "true" airbaby.
Multi-bronco jumps into freeze:
A combo of which Physicx jumps into a handstand then jump backwards into a backhandspring and finally jumps backwards again with a landing freeze.
Handstand UFO:
UFOs that are higher that normal and are usually done after a footwork sequence.
Hangbaby Spin:
Usually After another footwork sequence, Physicx does a hanging airbaby with legs closed that spins for a short amount of time (usually ended as a planche with legs closed).
Dropping Airflares:
Physicx goes into air flare form, but instead of jumping from one hand to the other when his back is facing the ground like normal airflares, he drops down onto his back and rolls back up into his other hand, and continues this sequence.
hand stand into popping elbow tracks.

2. B-boy Hong10
Hong 10 (Real name: Kim Hong-Yeol, Hangul: 김홍열, born on 27 December 1984 in South Korea) is a male South Korean B-boy (also known as Breakdancer). As of 2007, he has won more than 20 competitions as an individual or as a member of a crew, and has been termed "the best B-Boy in the world".[1] His accomplishments include both a Red Bull BC One individual title (2006) and a Battle of the Year crew title (2002). He also was a judge at the 2007 Battle of the Year world finals.[2][3]Contents[hide]
Name
The name Hong 10 comes from using a Korean language homonym and an English language pun. The second syllable of his name, Yeol, has the same pronunciation as the Korean pronunciation for the number ten. Therefore, pronouncing the phrase "Hong 10" in Korean will be the same pronunciation as his real name, Hong-Yeol. However, this nickname is always pronounced in English, so he is referred to as hong-ten regardless of the language context - whether Korean or English or otherwise. The nickname "Hong 10" is also a play on the surfer term "Hang Ten".
Crew
Hong 10 was in the crew Expression (with which he won the Battle of the Year title in 2002) and is currently in a crew called Drifterz and a project team named Project Soul while he also performs as a solo dancer. Just recently he formed a crew called 7 commandos with the world famous bboys: Ronnie and Wing.StyleHong 10 is recognized as a superb all-around b-boy able to dynamically hit beats with floorwork, freezes, uprock/toprock and powermoves - not to mention the rare ability to mix all of them in a set. His breakdancing features bridge-like floor work, sharp execution, and an arsenal of signature moves. These all showcase not only the complex nature of his dance, but also his creativity.
History
He first became a well-known bboy during 2002 when he exploded onto the scene being part of the Korean crews that won the then two most prestigious dance competitions in the world - Battle of the Year International and the UK B-Boy Championships. However, the fame came through in his solo performances, his first set against Vagabonds from France during BOTY 2002 created the 'Hong10 freeze' legacy and can easily be viewed through YouTube. He has also done well in many individual competitions, winning the 2006 Red Bull BC One but more commonly known as the famous 'runner up' having been a finalist at many competitions including three times at the UK B-boy Championships.

3. B-boy Lilou
Ali Ramdani (1984), better known by his stage name Lilou, is a b-boy of Algerian-French origins from Lyon.
Ali Ramdani aka B-Boy LILOU is a polarizing character, but still the most popular B-Boy of all. He is the current champion of the RED BULL BC ONE and the only one who took the trophy home twice! LILOU was born in France, but has Algerian roots. He travels between worlds and is considered "the immigrant" in both of them. LILOU is one of the B-Boys portrayed in the movie Turn it Loose and is traveling the world with the RED BULL BC ONE ALL STARS!
LILOU has an extensive history with the RED BULL BC ONE. In his first year competing, in 2005 in Berlin, he was the underdog, but took the championship. He received a huge winner's belt, which was supposed to be a challenge trophy to be handed over to the next winner the following year, but LILOU refused to give it back, unfazed by the threat of never being invited to the championship again. In 2006, he returned but was eliminated early on in the battle. In 2007, he was selected as one of four wild card B-Boys to compete in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he lost to Roxrite from the US in the semi-finals.
In 2008, in France, LILOU was one of the judges for the RED BULL BC ONE. In 2009, when the championship was held in New York, LIILOU returned to battle and did what nobody had done before, he won the championship for the 2nd time.
LILOU has a unique dance style and an engaging stage presence, being vicious, but humorous as well. The audience loves him! He perfectly combines the new style of "flexible moves" with classic footwork and power moves. His signature move is a variation of the air-chair.
LILOU has been dancing since he was twelve years old. He was fascinated when he first saw breakers on TV doing power moves and spinning on their heads. He thought that was absolutely crazy and he wanted to do it, too. His older brother taught him the moonwalk and later LILOU started to dance with an old-skool B-Boy who lived in his hood. He got his name when he was very young. Instead of his given name Ali, his family used to call him ALILOU which then became shortened to LILOU.
In 1999, LILOU and some of the guys he practiced with formed the crew Pockémon. They have been like a family ever since and have battled at big events worldwide where their skills have become legendary. In addition to breaking, LILOU has also tried locking.
LILOU has had a black belt in Kung Fu since he was sixteen years old. The Kung Fu mentality helped with his breaking.
LILOU lists his greatest influences as Michael Jackson, Zinédine Zidane, Mohammed Ali and Jamiroquai. He admires their careers, their charisma and recognizes them for being legends in their respective area of expertise.
Among the many items that LILOU wears when battling to express his individuality, he sometimes puts on a I'm Muslim Don't Panic t-shirt or keffiyeh to express solidarity with his brothers and sisters who are facing great adversity. He recognizes that there are many wars around the world for territory or for money but his battles are on the dance floor.

4. B-boy Born
HHyun Yoo, aka B-Boy BORN from Korea is a member of famous Korean Crew Rivers and was one of the participants in the RED BULL BC ONE 2005 in Berlin, Germany.
BORN has been dancing for twelve years now. In 1998, he saw members of the Rivers Crew dancing on the street. They were kids living in the same neighbourhood and when BORN saw their crazy power moves, he was blown away and realized this was what he had to do.
Because of his natural ability to dance, someone gave him the name “Natural Born Dancer.” When he joined Rivers, the name changed to “Newborn” as he was the new dancer in the crew. When he got better and better and finally started developing his own style, he naturally ended up with the name BORN.
BORN has always been inspired by his family, YuKu, Rivers, MZK and Floorgangz, but he wants to mention one B-Boy especially. “B-Boy Goguma taught me a great deal of foundation, but more importantly, he was the first one to show me what it really means to dance with the music.”
Apart from B-Boying, BORN is interested in the other elements of Hip Hop, too. He really likes graffiti and is drawing whenever he finds the time. His aunt is an artist and influenced him early on as a child. He frequently meets with other writers to exchange knowledge and styles and he prefers old-school graffiti over tagging. He also plans to learn everything about DJing and MCing in the future.
BORN is also interested in movies. “I am almost an otaku (Japanese term referring to people with obsessive interest). Another goal of mine is to study the field properly and make a short film. I am currently studying many different arts and cultures.”
BORN describes the Hip Hop scene as young compared to other scenes like jazz or rock. In Korea it’s even younger. In Korea, Hip Hop is still more about the individual than about being united since there are not many places for the scene to get together. He is sure though, that if B-Boys continue to participate in the scene, Korea will develop many more events where all elements of Hip Hop will come alive.
BORN didn’t use to be very interested in Korean traditions. However that changed, when he became serious about Hip Hop culture. He started to study Korean traditions, to understand more about his culture. “100 years ago Korean people played percussion instruments, held festivals and danced and sang, which shows that peace, unity and having fun was part of life back then, too. Sometimes I use traditional Korean instruments in my performances now. I think tradition is important. It’s the key that can link us to other generations.”
The RED BULL BC ONE 2005 was BORN’s first battle overseas and he is exited that now, five years later, he will be back as a judge. We asked him about his judging methods and he explained that the methods for 2-on-2, 3-on-3, crew or solo battles were all different. “Since the RED BULL BC ONE is a solo battle, I will concentrate on how much the participants focus on themselves, how perfect the round is from the beginning to when they come back to their position, and of course on their battling attitude. Also, the common factor of any battle is how much of their personal style they add to the music.”
BORN thinks it’s wonderful that the event will be in Asia this year. “The fact that the RED BULL BC ONE will be held in Japan, our neighbouring country, was hot news among the B-Boys since last year. Japan is the Asian country with the longest history of Hip Hop and the most organized scene. I see something new and learn something every time I go there. The RED BULL BC ONE will create an opportunity for the participants to share their knowledge about B-Boying and for everybody who follows the event to learn more about Hip Hop culture in Asia.”yun Yoo, aka B-Boy BORN from Korea is a member of famous Korean Crew Rivers and was one of the participants in the RED BULL BC ONE 2005 in Berlin, Germany.

5. B-boy Ronnie
Ronnie Abaldonado is the champion of last year’s battle in South Africa and the veteran of the Red Bull BC One. Ronnie is the only B-Boy competing for the 5th time! He won 2nd place at the Red Bull BC One in Switzerland in 2004, 3rd place in Berlin in 2005, 2nd place again in 2006 in Brazil and last year, in South Africa, won the title in the finals against his fellow US competitor Roxrite. Ronnie Dancing for more than 10 years, he is one of the top ranking dancers from the US. His moves have a high degree of difficulty and are always very clean. He represents two crews: Full Force and Super Cr3w. With Super Cr3w he won the MTV Show “America’s Best Dance Crew” on August 21st this year. They will be going on Tour with their show now and at the moment are rehearsing eleven hours per day. Ronnie was living in Guam when he first saw breaking. Growing up, he watched his older cousins perform in the late 80’s, but he didn’t start B-Boying himself until the mid 90’s, while living in California. He was first motivated by watching his cousins from California practice, but most of all he was inspired by watching his older brother Rodolfo and Ronnie’s goal was to be as good as him. When his family moved to Las Vegas, Rodolfo stopped dancing, while Ronnie kept at it. In addition to B-Boying, Ronnie is an artist who loves to draw. He’s interested in pretty much anything that enables you to express your creative individuality and is a big fan of Hip Hop because it’s a culture of self-expression. The members of Full Force are like blood brothers with a lot of history beyond breaking. They have been representing together for almost 12 years and are still going strong. Their logo is a tree symbolizing the crew as a family because, like the tree, they continue to grow with deepening roots. Ronnie is inspired by all B-Boys that are passionate about the dance, not just the best ones, but also kids practicing on a street corner. These are the B-Boys that motivate him the most because they remind him of when and where he first started and of the journey he travlled to arrive where he is today. He is inspired by passionate people in general and by all people who do their best in any arena. Ronnie’s dance style is well rounded. He combines all the elements of breaking into an integrated set. His signature moves include different variations of freezes and intricate footwork transitions combined with power moves. Ronnie’s battle strategy is essentially to stay true to himself, doing what he does best, the best possible way he can. He feeds off the crowd’s energy in the hopes that they feed off of his. Ronnie sees being part of the Red Bull BC One for the 5th time as a blessing. He thinks the experience of being part of an event at that magnitude is more important than winning.Titles 2000 1st place, Concrete Soul, Las Vegas, NV, USA 2001 1st place, Rockathon, San Diego, CA, USA 2002 1st place, Alien Antfarm, Las Vegas, NV, USA 2002 1st place, Street Rock, Visalia, CA, USA 2002 1st place, Floortactics, Sacremento, CA, USA 2003 1st place, Seven To Smoke, IBE, Rotterdam, Holland 2003 1st place, Heard upon Deaf Ears, California, USA 2003 1st place, Solitaire, California, USA 2003 1st place, Who Came 2 Serve, Chicago, USA 2003 1st place, Soulcal, California, USA 2004 1st place, King of The Hill, Portland, USA 2004 1st place, Battle Pro, Chelles, France 2004 1st runners up, World B-Boy Championships, London, England 2004 1st runner up, Red Bull BC ONE, Zurich, Switzerland 2004 1st place, Emergency Room, Las Vegas, NV, USA 2004 1st place, Absolution 2, Phoenix, AZ, USA 2005 3rd place, Red Bull BC ONE, Berlin, Germany 2005 1st place, B1 Productions, Osaka, Japan 2006 1st place, Red Bull Break-In, Dublin, Ireland 2006 1st runner up, Red Bull BC ONE, Sao Palo, Brazil 2007 1st place, Break Em Off, California, USA 2007 1st place, UBC MGM Grande, Las Vegas, USA |
